The vans are already tracked (well most are), as most folk are aware. Whether they will tie this in to NEO (ISP's systems) or some other methodology, remains to be seen. If they put van web-cams in, and/or mics ...... then I'll be inviting you all to my leaving party.  ;) ;D ;D

Black Sheep: By "tracking" I assume not GPS coords of the engineer?  ;D

My understanding (in all seriousness, for today is April 1st) is that all Openreach vehicles are fitted with GPS devices and woe betide any technician who takes a diversion from the tasked job at location A to the tasked job at location B.  :-X

They have relaxed slightly their initial Victorian-workhouse stance on the tracker, Mr Cat.
By that I mean there is an understanding that we may need wash-room facilities, and that we need to eat and drink during the day. I think it also boils down to individual management-styles too.  :)

I read on err, another forum, they are quite draconian when it  comes to going off route to exchanges / home for toilet / lunch breaks, even if they're only slightly off route etc although I've had the same guy out 3 times now and each time he's spent a few hours trying to find the fault, one time he spent 5 hours here, can't have got more than 3 jobs done that day
