Also like the sat-nav that instructed a person to turn right, they did, straight onto a railway line and could not get off, fortunately the level crossing was manned and the line shut down.
(the right-hand turn was just after the level crossing).

I take the bus into the city centre about twice a week now that I have a free pass, I take my current book with me and have a half hour read each way, that takes care of the boring bit.  Since it costs a fortune to either park my car, or pay the fare, I'd never go if it wasn't free

I use my local bus services regularly.Cannot fault it at all and it will take me all across the county and surrounding areas 'free gratis'! I'd be damned silly not to use it as, if the service was not 'taken up' by those who qualify, the 'powers that be' would have a valid reason for discontinuing this benefit!
The driver tells me that this free service for bus pass holders is to be extended to a 'nationwide' service from this coming april!  ;D
