No 2 daughter & Partner are with us for a while while they move house.  She was on my rock solid 98SE PC yesterday looking at houses and managed to persuade Explorer to perform several Illegal Operations.

She then went upstairs to watch TV on Partner's Media Centre.  5 minutes later she managed to crash that as well  :-X .  The screen just showed a large box with STOPPED in it.  Very helpful.

Serves her right for watching Top Gear.

I was pleased to find that even Windows MCE responds to a 3 fingered salute.  The more I see of XP the less I like it.

heh.. dont you find that if something is gonna go wrong.. its not just the once.

either that or some people really do have a talent for breaking electrical things..  like an "anti-tech aura".


as regards to XP...   I was converted looong ago and find it much more stable..  even though it does need lots of space and more memory. :/

Yes.  Keep well clear of Black Y reg Mitsubishi Colts.  No 1 is just as bad, she broke the dishwasher and the power steering on a LWB Pajero on the same day.

They both take after their mother   ;).

Apparently some people are just disasters with electronics and can't help it! Something to do with how our bodies and electricity work i believe - you could just touch it and it would start playing about. I don't actually know anymore than that.

Of course, other people are just incompetent or otherwise cause havok.

Is this by any chance because the local engineers are frightend they might get talked about because of being at their old address that often that a move is the easiest sollution to be able to get things fixed?
