Has anyone on an ECI cabinet had G.INP yet or is it just Huawei cabs?

Damn. I hope they're including ECI in their rollout, oh well, time will tell. Thanks.

I am going to fire of an email to the openreach CEO to see what he says about the ECI situation.

We have one plusnet staff member who says ECI has been included in vectoring testing (g.inp needed for vectoring), andyh who I dont know who he is but he knows too much for a customer.

We also have BS who we know works for openreach and is well placed and he says he hasnt seen any ECI activity, I give him the most credibility.

I dont know why BT always go dual vendors, as one vendor always end up been worse than the other.

no you will get it whilst no ECI have it. :p

G.INP so far seems an all win for those who have it.

Not so great for me at the moment due to ongoing repairs and investigations to find a cause of half BB DS, G.inp was added to try to aid my line alas not, no real change yet  ???

That said, it does look promising to those with a decent line.

Well you see your line has two parts Internal and External if you make sure the internal part is 100% then you can say the external part is faulty but there could be other variable's

The internal (If you mean the Exchange/Cab etc..) hardware has been upgraded/replaced/different port and 1 repair to the property (4 pair) cable 10ft from my house, just an ongoing process of elimination, my modem is next to the NT5 which has also just been upgraded today to a HH5 as part of the ongoing process BT is working on, I think the HH5 addition is the last "hardware" fix they can try.

I have two lines both running from the same Huawei cabinet, both are running on unlocked HG612's and both of these are using software version V100R001C01B030SP06, however this morning one line was G.INP enabled the other was not and still isn't. Prior to yesterday both lines were running at a similar speed and produced a similar number of FEC's around a million or so per day. In the last 14 hours the G.INP enabled line had recorded just 9500 FEC's and no other errors the other line is still clocking up errors at it's usual rate.

Are both using the exact same firmware V100R001C01B030SP06 comes in two flavours ?

1. unlockedgui
2. unlockedgui-nobtagent

the first one still updates to V100R001C01B030SP08 the second one will not update to V100R001C01B030SP08

Have you had chance to study the new Bearer 1 G.INP data yet, along with what has now moved from being recorded against Bearer 0 to being recorded against Bearer 1.

Also the new data that isn't specifically allocated to Bearer 0 or Bearer 1?
