I ordered a new mobile phone from Tesco direct on tuesday.It stated next day delivery.It never came Wednesday after I waited in all day.Phoned customer service on thursday only to be told the courier had left it on the back porch.We don,t have a back porch I replied and in any case you can't get round the back as it is fenced off.Leave it with me said the tesco man and I will phone you back.Did he,no.I must have phoned them at least 6 times without getting anywhere,and to make matters worse the call centre is in scotland.( those accents)On the website it says if you are not in  and the leave it with a neighbour or in a secure place they will put a card through your letterbox.I was in and there was no card.I paid by credit card so Am I covered?
Would appreciate any feedback.

I would advise your credit card  company of the dispute straight away, if I were you, just in case.  I hope you aren't paying over the odds for their call centre as well?

0845 number,found an 0800 but when you phone they tell you to phone tesco direct on the 0845 number

I think you may have redress through your credit card company only if the purchase value of the item is in ecxess of £100, but knowing me , could very well be wrong.
You have not signed for it's receipt, and can thus continue to claim non-delivery.

I know, these Scottish  accents are a right ********, they even lose me at times.

Tried looking it up on www.SAYNOTO0870.com and it offers 01382 822867 as a geographic number route to Tesco Direct - it's the main switchboard and if you ask for Tesco Direct they should put you through (whereas if you ring the 0800 number they just redirect you to the 0845 number).  Hope this may help but I sympathise with your frustration.  I hope it gets sorted soon.

Just to update,I had an email from Tesco saying if no one has contacted me by tuesday of next week,get back in touch.It says it will give the courier time to interview the delivery driver.

It didn't take that long to interview saddam

Just to update,tesco direct just phoned to say it was lost in transit(originally left on back porch).Card refunded,then re ordered for delivery monday.(talk about groundhog day).I,ll keep you posted.
