Thank you for the link.

As we all know, there is a distinct difference between optimised laboratory results and that ultimately achievable in the real world.  ;)

1 Tbps over a 5G connection for the first time ever. That's the fastest wireless speed to date.

Wow indeed!   At first I thought hey thats faster than fibre, but then I thought what about distance and latency.
Just noticed b*cat has also pointed out another obvious.

Oh... and also, I think Ive been watching too much i-player..  the mention of 5G immediately made me think of this

Ha ha ..... nice link, Kitz.  ;D

Mr Cat, yeah ...... lab conditions are exactly that ...... a pure form. However, even if real-life situations gave just a percentage of 1T, and potential zero latency ...... it's a step in the right direction. From small acorns ....  ;D

Sadly it doesn't scale well. Most wireless stuff doesn't - diminishing returns but it seems half the planet must have their "hand-held precious" so there's some very inventive stuff happening

Zero latency - dream on as you'll still be going through the same gateways with the same filtering requirements placed on them by govts.
