Are those XNTE's really that flimsy and unreliable?

Is the problem being fixed, or has it proven to be an experiment that isn't being followed through any further?

The XNTE was formally withdrawn in November 2011. It was a good idea in theory but was flawed in practice.  :-X

I'll point you towards Beattie's SIN 470, Section 5, Page 5.  ;)

A section which only got added 6 months after they'd stopped using them  ::)

So they worked well enough to get past a trial, but were then killed off within 3 years. That isn't an auspicious record.
