Hello,

On a long line. Super slow ADSL connection. (waiting for fibre and praying!!)

Using an unlocked HG612 with SP10 firmware. Setup as a router.

Has been fine for the past two months.

Past fortnight the disconnects have been happening. Yesterday 50 PPP disconnects alone. Very frustrating.

Here are the stats:

Would really appreciate the help from the smart folks on here. Long time lurker. Think it's a great forum. Lots of detailed information.
BTOR reset the line earlier today before noon.

Have "boost engineer" attending tomorrow. Have a feeling he will do a runner asap. BTOR says the line is connecting fine.

Concerned that something is wrong with the way the HG612 is configured. Currently only able to get a connection with G.DMT connected. Isolating everything to simply ADSL as seen in other threads does not give a connection.

All help greatly appreciated. We are a small startup company trying to make a living. Very hard to do on a unstable 2meg internet connection with repeated disconnections.

Thanks

Just a couple of quick questions.

What exchange?

Have you tried a different router?

Have adsl filters been changed (is the router in the master socket)?

The best idea is to install one of the monitoring programs http://forum.kitz.co.uk/index.php?board=46.0 so that the experts on here can "see" a lot more information to make a diagnosis.

Can you do a --Hlog and --QLN and sling the results 'ere? :)

Dunno if you've done it already but it might be worth considering:

1. Binning your DECT phone. Bin :D
2. Siting the modem as close to the master as possible.
3. Getting one of those twisted RJ11 cables.
4. Moving any other electrical devices at least 2 metres away from the modem/master.

I forget what the syntax is to show the DSLAM chipset but might be handy to know that too? :)

It's not unusual to not be able to negotiate ADSL2, unfortunately.

I'm wondering how you have the HG612 configured on the Basic ---> DSL page. Do you have ALL selected, thus allowing the device to choose the mode used or have you cleared all the boxes and tried with just ADSL2 selected? (I use the latter for my circuit.)
