Another newbie
« on: February 14, 2008, 07:18:21 PM »

Hi,  :)

Just arrived from CA. Can I say that? Here to get expert help if I have any problems, and try to help others with theirs. (Doubtful but you never no). Hope it won't be too long before I find my feet. (and the right buttons).

Bob.

Welcome Bob

You're in good company here. I expect you'll soon meet up with some old friends and make some new ones. :)

Thanks for the welcome.

Need to sort my signature out where do I post for help? I think the link should be on one line but I can't get it to work.

Hi Bob. To display that image in your sig, put {img} in front of the address and {/img} after it, but with square brackets instead of curly ones.

Thanks for that Roseway, but I can't get anything to work. I think the whole address needs to be on one line. Every thing I try will not do it, it keeps splitting into two lines.  :( Will try something else later.

Hi A.L.S.

I must be doing something wrong. Can't get anything to work.  :( tried something else, only get the web site.

Avatars

Do I change the end brackets from [] to <>?

I know it has worked with others.

Bob.

No, the screen shot which Steph showed was exactly how it should be done, but note that there must be no spaces, line breaks or anything between the opening img and the closing /img (both in square brackets). It doesn't make any difference if it wraps in the edit box where you set it up like Steph's example above, so long as you type it with no spaces.
