Hi all!

Just signed up to plusnet and i am using their standard router & the BTOR modem.

I have hard a few stories of the supplied router being of poor quality and reliability so i was looking to change to something a little better.

From a quick scan, i was looking at this...

Would this be a good replacement?   I don't mind spending a bit more if need be, however, seeing as i won't be getting 100Mb plus broadband, i don't need gigabit ports etc

This would provide basic wifi (for the kids) as i already have an Asus router at the other end of the house that deals with the bulk of N & AC wifi for myself and the wife.

How are you planning to connect this to the other router?

As long as the Asus Router is WDS compatible and enabled then it's a good way to the expand wifi range with out cables.

Ill try and explain a little better!

BTORM -- PN router -- 16P gigabit sw (which feeds  number of wired devices & the Asus which is acting as an AC WAP at the other end of the house.

The PN router is currently serving wifi to the rest of the house & acting as the incoming router.

TBH, the PN router has been OK so far, but was just wondering if there was better?

When i was browsing iTunes earlier, some pages were not loading artwork at all and sampling some tracks there was a fair bit of buffering which i never had before.

I think it will work as a replacement but it may not fix your problems.
