HD612 3B Setup Advice
« on: December 21, 2014, 07:14:33 PM »

Hello all great forum with tons of great info!

I have read through a number of guides and successfully unlocked my HG612. But I am having issues with the settings, what to use etc. Will soon be paired with the Asus N66U, using HH5 as the router atm.
I have BT Infinity FTTC and I am over 1000m to the Cabinet  :'(
I have everything working but I am not sure if everything is correct. Lots of pics below of my current settings.
Main things I am not sure of:
- Basic>WAN settings
- DHCP Server enabled or disabled? Will my new router take care of this?
- Bridged Mode or Route?
- PPPoE?

Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks

As your broadband connection is by VDSL2, you should keep the HG612 in its default configuration.

The HG612 should be in pure bridge mode and the router will be responsible for creating the PPPoE client process, providing the relevant credentials, acting as a firewall, acting as a DHCP server to the LAN, etc.
