Moving A File

Can I Move a file from one distro to another.
I need 'libmotif3 ' which is not available in pclos, but it is in ubuntu can I load to ubuntu machine, find it, then transfer it to the pclinux machine ?.

No, that's really not advisable, because different distros set up their libraries in different ways, and the Ubuntu version will have been compiled to suit the Ubuntu structure.

Are you sure it's not available in PCLinuxOS? It may be called something else,  for example motif3 or just motif with a version number of 3.x.

Hello Eric,
Unfortunately there is no such file. There is a place on there forum I can suggest it .
I need it to make a 'Citrix Client' work properly.

I found some details about it but it's for ubuntu.  http://bin-false.org/?p=13

You might save yourself some hair loss by installing the Citrix Java client instead.

Otherwise a question on the PCLinuxOS forum might get you a solution.
