Precast Jointing Chamber
« on: November 18, 2014, 11:26:31 AM »

Hey all, quick (possibly stupid) question for anyone in the know, sorry if it's in the wrong forum, wasn't really sure where it would best fit.

I've noticed on roadworks.org that BT are installing a precast jointing chamber over the road from my fibre cab, (Build 1 precast jointing chamber(s) (350mm x 200mm) 300mm)

I'm wondering what these are usually used for, is it anything to do with FTTPoD or are they just adding another jointbox for some other reason?

Thanks in advance guys

It could be for any purpose.

Please take a look at the Openreach Developer's Guide and see the section headed Pre-Formed Chamber - Quadbox on page 19. (Assuming that I've counted the pages correctly.  ;)  )
