Maybe there was a explanation but I didn't spot it, but how come if no one lives there 'who's been mowing all the lawns' because they all look as if they have been well kept, not too mention perfectly clean windows and not forgetting not a spec of dust anywhere to be seen and a boat, I think someone's trying to pull our plonker with that story.

The first thing I immediately spotted was the mown lawns..  and like someone is really going to leave the lights on for 30 years.

The water in the swimming pool looks quite remarkable too.  Youre not telling me its been like that for 30 years  ;)

At its peak the town housed over 1,200 residents, and had a hospital, a sports center, a theater, a grocery store with the promise of growth and prosperity.

That's not much over twice population of the village I live in.   Hard to believe that, even if we doubled in size, we'd have enough people to make use of all these facilities, let alone anybody would build them!   We do have quite a nice village hall that was largely funded by pledges and donations and apart from that the only 'facilities' I can think of is one small pillar box. :)
