Transmission info

I came across the following paper, discussing cable requirements and other aspects of vdsl, when trying to remind myself of some science that I have long since forgotten, in particular the Shannon-Hartley theorem.
The paper is (a) nice and short, (b) not too heavy going. I especially like the descriptions of NEXT and FEXT, in terms of rude neighbours shouting.
