Shall you get a new tube and starter?
he would maybe better off with a new light fitting as the emi will be most likely from the ballast, and not the tube ect,
better still replace the strip light with a different type of light fixing , If that is what only one can do, imagine what 20 of them would do , i know all too well, and the lights were not in my home, but a neighbouring property, the joys of the twisted pair copper  ug cable bundles Especially if whatever is causing the emi is in close proximity to an internal extension , or the NTE is sited next to the electricity meter  and incoming mains cable

Such a small number of errors is really of no significance at all. There's nothing that needs to be to be done.

Before:

Code: [Select]
Since Link time = 7 hours 5 min 11 sec
FEC: 0 99
CRC: 7 4
ES: 6 4
SES: 0 0
UAS: 0 0
LOS: 0 0
LOF: 0 0

Now:

Code: [Select]
Since Link time = 9 hours 28 min 31 sec
FEC: 0 63
CRC: 2 1
ES: 2 1
SES: 0 0
UAS: 0 0
LOS: 0 0
LOF: 0 0

Massive different of not using fluorescent lighting but my biggest fearsome is xmas tree flashing lights in all neighbours in December. Going to kept an eyes on it.

That's not a 'massive' difference. FECs are irrelevant, and the numbers of CRC and ES are tiny.

You're right about Christmas lights though, they can cause big trouble.

Latest stat from openreach modem as tomorrow I am going to try Billion 8800NL but I must remember to powered down for at least 32 minutes to be safeguard against DLM. I just wait for 24 hours completed on openreach modem, so I can keep on my record to compare Billion 8800NL later this weekend.

Code: [Select]
Since Link time = 17 hours 12 min 29 sec

FEC: 0 177

CRC: 6 3

ES: 6 2

SES: 0 0

UAS: 0 0

LOS: 0 0

LOF: 0 0

It look like my cabinet is now under crosstalk see image below:

I forget the setting preconfigured for Billion 8800NL for VDSL2 setting. Don't mind post me screenshot so I will do it now on other pc but it won't be connected to DSL line until tomorrow.

22 hours ongoing stats from openreach modem. Much much better as I had removed fluorescent lighting driver.

Code: [Select]
Since Link time = 22 hours 2 min 1 sec
FEC: 0 333
CRC: 9 12
ES: 8 7
SES: 0 0
UAS: 0 0
LOS: 0 0
LOF: 0 0
