I'm not ignoring you Roxy, just been very busy. It seems I may well have typed a nonsense (above). Our resident "wooly" has been very tactful.  :)

Ideally you could do with a brief comment / observation / etc from either Ronski or Bald_Eagle1.

Let's see who hears me whistling . . .

I didn't think any thing like that at all.

BE is definitely looking at it for me. I am trying to run him something more long term.

Don't worry about FEC errors, my line at work has over 600,000 a minute, so 35 million in a day is nothing. Actually it's currently showing 680,788 for the last minute, it's normally the highest one on www.mydslwebstats.co.uk

The values on the left are per minute, on the right they are accumalative since link up time, they will roll over back to zero once they reach  2,147,483,647.

I've attached the Ongoing montage for 1004 samples from Roxy's connection, if anyone's interested.

From an engineering perspective, if I personally saw that level of cumulative FEC's with my JDSU, I would definitely investigate further.
Again, I have to apply the caveat that I don't know if there is any difference between what you guys see with your scripts, to what the JDSU presents to me ??

Yikes, if only I knew what half of those graphs were showing. To the archives for study!

I think what he means is FEC is corrected errors so the line will work ok, but like you said black sheep that to me is a sign of a underlying issue.

We are on an industrial estate and the telephone lines also enters the building with the 3 phase power which is surely bad.

As soon as 'Industrial estate' gets mentioned, I immediately bring REIN into my considerations. I am not saying you have got REIN, just that the possibilities rise in my experience.

Hey all, still talking to BE and BS in preparation for the visit on Saturday.
I just grabbed this from DSLstats as it seemed considerably jumpy this evening.

It feels like a lot of SNR fluctuation for such a short window, but then I guess it shouldn't be moving around much at all.

Oh the fun I would have tracking the cause of your SNRM fluctuation if the cause was internal, if it was external then it would turn into frustration

:o  Correct. The maroon line should show similar behaviour to that of the green line.

That would be the case if don't get any evening RFI but your graph only shows a very small amount of RFI (radio propagation) kicking in at 19:05 this is normal after sunset.

My assumption would be from your SNRM graph this is internal interference from PC's to LCD tv LED TV / Moniters and so on lets hope I am wrong  :-\

From today already.

I turned nothing else on in the home or around the premises during this time that I'm aware of.

EDIT: Going back over just the last four to five days, I can see that any where from 10am to midnight, random patterns of sustained SNR drop occur. If it is internal, I'm damned in knowing what is going on/off at those times.
