It is true that I have registered. My reasoning was to look at the statistics of others (waves a paw towards Chrysalis, for example). I do not have a constantly running system and do regularly "log out" on this laptop system. So, essentially, I have long periods of "nothing" to display! 

That's a shame, poor old Eric still won't know if his prog works under Linux as no one else has come forward 

The system can cope with intermittent uploads if you want to try it although you may well receive a resync mail each time you restart (if you are actually turning off the modem as well that is which I guess is unlikely, if you are not it won't mail you).

The modem, a Huawei HG622, is never powered off. However re-synchronisations are a fairly common occurrence.

Perhaps one day I'll set DSLstats "going" and assuming i understand what I am doing (I'm an easily confused kitteh    ), I'll leave the laptop on for 24 hours updating to your website.

Is there anyone who uses Linux or who has an ADSL(2, 2+) connection who has tried it?

I tried linux 32/64 bit and the windows version each on a clean or live system. Only the login data was changed, all other options are default. All of them freezed instantly with al lot of cpu usage after the first sampling data was transferred. I'm on VDSL2.

Edit: v5.0.1 works absolutely stable and without any errors on the same systems.

Thanks for the information. It seems most likely that the problem relates to VDSL2 connections only. At the moment I'm hampered by not being able to reproduce it, but on Thursday I'm due to be upgraded to VDSL2, so if I don't find the cause in the meantime it should be easier after Thursday.

I've fixed the bug which caused the problem in 5.0.10. It was just a missing 'Increment' line which caused one section of the stats processing to go into an infinite loop.

Great. You may have noticed that the QLN, Hlog and SNR/Tone graphs were not displaying any data.... They are now as it was an easy fix at this end. I'll mail you re a simple fix at your end.
