Nexus Tablet
« on: August 14, 2014, 01:45:46 PM »

Afternoon all,
I wonder if anyone can help my wife with her tablet problem?

It does not appear to be able to maintain connection with our router, BT hub 3 this is what happens;

Obtaining ip address

Connected

Save

Obtaining IP address
 Connected and so on for ever, well not quite for ever but it very frustrating both for her and me having to try to connected for her, (she is even less IT savvy than me)

For the sake of matital harmony please help! :(

Regards,

Peter

I have found that some Android devices don't like certain types of wireless encryption,  try changing the encryption type used in your wireless router.

Don't use plain old WEP though it's easily cracked these days.

Thank you Ronski, but I fear that may be beyond my technical  capabilities, however I have just found out that the same thing is happening to her laptop running Windows 7, which seems to indicate the wifi connection is breaking on that too.

It maybe a good time to reset that HH3 to it's factory defaults

You will need a paper clip unfolded or precision tool they are far better than a paper clip, you will need to keep the reset button held in untill you see the router led lights turn off you can then release the reset switch.
