No it doesn't work that way, you need several missing uploads several minutes apart to initiate the messages.

The reason you are seeing them is because .... you haven't uploaded since yesterday at 12:34...

Yes, very odd. Can't immediately see what might be wrong and seems to have stopped for the moment. Off is actually set to every two days though in case the user forgets but it's been sending at irregular intervals. I'll add it to the list. Thanks.

Not sure if you are making any changes or not, but the page loading times are  all of a sudden like treacle

I get a message Sorry, but the server is busy and cannot handle your request at the moment. Please try again shortly ? so i try again and it doesn't even load , not moaning about it, just giving you the heads up , in case you didn't already know about it

Yes, thanks, very aware  :o
That error gets mailed to me every time it happens... I have been trying to fix a memory leak that makes the server grind to a halt periodically.

EDIT 5th June:
Still working on this today so you may see more errors. One side effect of restarting the Apache server is that the no upload warnings get sent again even if they are turned off (that's why this has been happening). I need to find a cure for that as well...

EDIT 8th June:
Looks like the cure was to allocate more Apache workers and fastcgi processes, getting the balance right was the awkward part - the memory loss was due to expired processes not being killed off properly when requested. Haven't seen any errors for two days now. Also, the unwanted upload warning errors seem to have mostly gone away after some code changes.

I'm trying to make a donation via PayPal, but I don't have a PayPal account at the moment. when making a card payment as a guest, where do I enter username:myusername ? and does the email I enter in PayPal need to match the email I'm registered with on mydslstats?

Hi

The e-mail doesn't need to match as long as somewhere (there should be comment/note section) you can put your username (the username:myusername is for automated processing).

Or just do it and then say here that you have please along with your user name.

Thanks.

blah! my PayPal account is suspended as of last week. tried paying as guest with card option but it's linking it to a limited account.
No other way to donate? Google wallet, bank transfer, paym, Ukash? I'll get a friend to use his account if not, but surely something to consider. Many don't like the evil entity that is PayPal.

If it helps, I've added a Google Wallet address for donations but as I've no idea what an incoming payment looks like via e-mail until someone sends one.  There are some additional notes on the donations page. Note that anything using this address that is not a donation will end up in the trash bin.

Not sure about the evil entity bit. I've used them since 2003 or so for everything online with no problems and always found them very helpful when things infrequently go wrong.

I had a successful business shut down by them after we refused to comply with their illegal demands for access to our customer database and servers. (not illegal under US law but illegal in virtually every other country including the one we were registered in)

very much appreciated!!
donated via google wallet, hopefully you get it okay. not sure if you'll be able to automate it as it says "The recipient will need to claim the money once it's received."

You can't, only the clickable columns (in blue) can be sorted.
