Appears to be completely offline, as the server wasn't replying to the app that uploads the data in Wireshark , hope it hasn't broke again

I managed to get my hands on a desktop at the B&B I am staying at and spent most of the night there using Teamviewer to get at everything as I carry a copy on a USB stick on car keyring ::)

There is now a backup from Thursday running locally that seems okay and I'm currently reloading the database tables from an automatic dump at 11:00 yesterday morning just before  it went wrong. Takes ages... Once complete I'll bring it back online in stages hopefully. Obviously there will be a large hole in the recent stats.

Apologies for a load of duplicated mail earlier when the mail server came  back up and sent a couple of days backlog it didn't think it had sent in one go... It's possible there will be more.

The server runs on a virtual machine and looks like it suddenly forgot how to load it properly.  No idea why. It does seem to be running slowly though so may not be fully right yet.

Hi tbailey2

Kudos to you

I'm sorry, others may not agree, but personally I would have preferred for you to have a good break and review your servers when your back from your break.

I appreciate though your almighty effort to bring back online, so please do not take the above wrong, as I have the same mindset for correcting things I'm responsible for, even when on holiday.

As I said, kudos to you

Many thanks

John

This is an effort well above and beyond  Tony. I agree with John, this is a very useful system but it is not a life threatening matter which needed your attention while away on a break. Yes we very much appreciate everything you do on this but I and I think John and others will agree that it does not require you to ruin your weekend away by doing this.

I also agree with John & Stuart, although I myself am guilty of pulling out the laptop and fixing things whilst away. Enjoy the rest of your break.

Back now. Thanks for the comments but that's me. If I can sort it I will.

Seems to be running okay currently. I need to make a few config changes which means an Apache restart but this is usually very quick.
