DLM Gadget - Current Day Cumulative Totals Available
This facility (available from the wider graphs by selecting the traffic lights for FTTC connections) has by default always shown the line status for a rolling 24 hour period. Since the DLM actually monitors the stats over a 24 hour period starting at 00:00, it can give misleading results when a line with lots of errors becomes less error prone and the error rate drops.

Version 2, available now, lets you select the current way of displaying a rolling 24 hours for a user or, if you prefer, the actual day's cumulative figures resetting at 00:00 each day and counting up as the day progresses. Whichever way you choose, accuracy is only ever obtained for the current day with a full 24 hours worth of data.

Note that the cumulative view is slower to load than the rolling one.

Since you may well not be around when it reaches 23:59. you can also now select the previous day's total - or any day in the past 10 days if the data is available of course - the dropdown list will only show days that have uploads. If there is insufficient data, the status will be all Red with zero values. The current setting is retained until changed. The screenshots below show some examples with the leftmost showing a view from this morning as it has been, then at center the new 'Cumulative' view as (hopefully) the DLM sees it at about the same time as the left one. At right is a view of the dropdown selection  list.

The small traffic lights in the Status Panel still currently show a rolling 24 hour period as a line overview.

Alex
I tried a few hours ago using another account and it worked fine. Have you tried again since the original attempt? At what point does it hit Technical Difficulties?

I think you mean in the user stats page. If thats the case you can hover over the box and the modem type is displayed that is being used to upload

Yes, sounds like it. If he'd have said Upload Prog then it would have been obvious, plus it tells you what it means if you hover over the title...

If he means the Uploader list then it indicates a non-UK user (different time zone). ** means they are probably in Greenland  :'( . Or the clock is still on GMT.

Hi,

update: Tony just emailed me to say yes some strange things are happening so is investigating -Thanks Tony

Just thought I would mention I notice a few users from today have missing minutes. From looking at the logs mine points to a curl error 28. Anyone else had a look at the error file?

The 4 other users I looked at all had between 96-98% upload with missing minutes for today. Perhaps there is a problem somewhere- I have been on 100% for some time but some gaps today.

many thanks

Yes, thanks for the PM. I'm just closing down and restarting the server, it seems to have been unhappy since G.INP was disabled this morning but probably a coincidence...

BACK up at 17:06
I can't see anything in the Apache error logs that's any help unfortunately, nothing out of the ordinary.

Curl 28 is timeout as noted in that log.

I wonder whether anyone can shed some light on something I'm seeing?

I'm currently on FTTC in a village setting, getting fairly near perfect performance - 79,999 DS, and between 18,500 & 20,000 US.

However, I've noticed that when I look at bit loading in MyWebDSLstats, the maximum reported tone is 255, and none of the higher bands are visible.  I've also noticed that the protocol is just reported as VDSL with no band plan.

Do anyone know why this is?  Is it a bug in the modem / stats collection?

I'm currently using DSLstats_RPi V5.6.2  with a Thom/Tech TG589vn v3 modem, and the username in MyDSLWebStats is "AvonHouse".

Any thoughts welcome.

Colin.

The problem is the TG589vn (and other Technicolor models). They provide only limited data via their custom CLI. In particular, the pbParams data isn't available, and it's this which contains the band plan and other VDSL2-specific information. Unfortunately I know of no way round this (apart from using a different modem of course).
