How To Wire nte5 and run extension

Hi

In my living room i have a master socket and its a nte5 bt openreach same as this one

all i am trying to do is run an extension cable so i can have a phone in another bedroom does anyone know how the master socket has to be wired up what colours and what numbers do they have to go to thanks for your help guys cheers

Connect terminals 2 and 5 in the faceplate to the same terminals in the extension socket. Use twisted-pair cable (CW1308 is most convenient) and use one pair of the same colours. The normal pair to use is the blue/white - white/blue pair.

Thanks but what colours do i connect to the nte5 main socket as the colours are different on the end of my extension cable

You don't connect anything to the main socket, it's out of bounds. Just connect the wires as I described.

The wires go into the back of the faceplate like this




Im assuming that you meant back of faceplate. What colours are in your cable?  Extension cable should look like this



 although it shouldnt really matter as long as you attach the same colours to the same connector pin numbers in both faceplates at each end. :)
