AOL go "backward"
« on: March 06, 2008, 03:22:14 PM »

I see that AOL have today introduced a new product - whats so different about it  (for aol at least)?

The fact that its the first time Ive seen AOL advertising a product without a contract length.
The product is priced at £14.99 per month 10GB of usage with a one off set up fee of £49.99

*Offer only available in selected areas

What isnt clear is if that fee also applies to straight forward migration..
but in view of the fact they supply a router and from the fact its only available on LLU... then its a sure bet it does.
Bear in mind that coming off LLU isnt always easy and not all ISPs are able to deal with migration from an LLU ISP.

However, the good thing is that they are finally realising that many users dont want long contracts and annual 12 month tie-ins, and hence why some of the better ISPs already do this.
