50p to call EE customer services
« on: August 15, 2014, 01:34:31 PM »

I called EE yesterday and was asked if I want to pay 50p to be in the priority queue to customer services(no mention of how long that takes)or remain in the general queue to speak to a customer service advisor.. >:(

Needless to say I didn't take the 50p option. Will this be the way that other providers will start to follow... ???

I think this is disgraceful.  I too fear it will spark others to try it.

Heck...  why waste money on getting more staff to cover peak time queues when we can make extra money by getting our customers to pay extra to speak to someone.   In the meantime the normal queue wait times continue to grow longer whilst those that pay can queue jump...  So let them wait which will encourage them to use the premium service next time.  >:( >:(
