Own vdsl modem/router with Talktalk
« on: March 09, 2015, 03:56:52 PM »

Can anyone confirm if Talktalk needs separate settings for FTTC please.

I thought they are using PPPoE vlan101 same as the rest of us.   But Ive had a query in my mail today asking if it should actually be IPoE.

Can anyone on TT (such as JID) please confirm what settings you are using.

Cheers.

I have my HG612 on TalkTalk in bridge mode with vlan 101 and my VMG8924 behind it set to IPOE. Now I did have my VMG8324 directly on and I believe it may well have been IPOE but I cant remember right now and I dont have it handy to check. You dont need any password or username with TalkTalk either. If required I can dig out my other router to check.

I can confirm on my 8800AXL it needed to be IPoE with 802.1P Priority set to 0 and 802.1Q VLAN ID set to 101.

As above, no username and password required.
