>> Would it be possible or relevant to see how many people have actually participated on each individual survey, (preferably on the first main page)

If you hover your mouse over the bars for each ISP it will show the no of votes that particular ISP has.

But thanks for bringing it up cause I'll admit it isnt immediately obvious, therefore I'll add something on the page which makes it clearer

Would it be possible to have the numbers either next to or over the top of the result bars?

Thanks, and some interesting comments so far.

Its more to do with limitations on output space on the "graph module" that outputs the pretty bars Im afraid.
Its already been fairly heavily modded to allow the display of info that it does, and the hover function for the total wasnt something it did by default, but something that had to be played with to get it to do what it did.

When I broke down the totals for the individual ISPs I had a bit more room to play with, but on there I was actually more concerned with splitting it into the relevant sections.

It probably would be possible to do this but would require an amendment that is a lot more complicated to do than it may look since the module does have some limitations:(

The only observation I'd make is that marks out of 25 seems a bit of an odd way to present the final data. I'd be inclined to multiply the figures by four to give a "percentage" rating. Eg I rated UKO at 23/25, so present that as 92%.

No big deal either way :)

I'm still mulling over that one (%'s).
The problem with that is also the converse side where you have the likes of the AOL rating where its been given only 1 star for all categories.  That means percentage wise it would be given 20%, which would also look odd.
Then I thought about giving a nil score - but no stars ie 0 is used as not rated, and one of the validation checks to make sure that all sections have been completed correctly.  Therefore I'm left with a base minimum figure of 5

hmmm How about
( totalling the scores - 5) x 5

That way
1star + 1star + 1star + 1star + 1star = (5-5)*5 = 0%
1star + 1star + 1star + 1star + 2star = (6-5)*5 = 5%
2star + 2star + 2star + 2star + 2star = (10-5)*5 = 25%
3star + 3star + 3star + 3star + 3star = (15-5)*5 = 50%
4star + 4star + 4star + 4star + 4star = (20-5)*5 = 75%
4star + 4star + 4star + 4star + 5star = (21-5)*5 = 80%
4star + 4star + 5star + 5star + 5star = (23-5)*5 = 90%
4star + 5star + 5star + 5star + 5star = (24-5)*5 = 95%
5star + 5star + 5star + 5star + 5star = (25-5)*5 = 100%

I think that works for all scenarios and gives a truer representation of %?

I hadn't realised you couldn't give a score of zero :)

I'd suggest that the best solution is to permit zero. Anything else is fixing a design problem by introducing added complications ;)

Instead of using zero as a validation check make the input field default to some other value which looks OK - eg an asterisk.

Edit - ermm you use stars of course  so you need to perhaps make all the stars red as default and green when you click on them?

Thanks for the reply Kitz, obviously only a suggestion and if it can't be done (for whatever reason) then so-be-it.
But thanks for considering it anyway.

PS:
Keep up the good work and thanks for all your effort.

Ive made a few adjustments to a couple of things re the displays and the main ISP display now shows as a percentage.
After some info from brett @ Be, Ive now coded an additional function so  it now should also record Be and 02 votes separately.
