Is there any way to get official archived firmware from a Zyxel website anymore?

I just got a used one of these thats currently running 1.00(AAKL.10)C0_20151008 with a newer version in the other firmware partition
Code: [Select]
> sys fwselect show
Version in first partition: 1.00(AAKL.15)C0
Version in second partition: 1.00(AAKL.10)C0_20151008

I have not yet done a hard reset - I will clear the john lewis branding and do a reset soon... I just want to get a feel for how it currently works.

I'm gonna try brother Johnsons firmware, but I want to have a way to return to what I have.
I've tried finding a way to extract the firmware without hardware/wires - but I have failed - any ideas?

I have downloaded the latest firmware from that dutch site - I would prefer an official site... but I can't find any archives?

If anyone is reading this, is it normal to have very high load even when just operating the device in bridged modem mode only?
Top shows average load at around 2.0... I seem to have rather a lot of mm.exe processes?
CPU shows a lot of idle though - confuses me!
Can I kill/stop all of the unnecessary processes? I tried disabling everything in the GUI - but no change.

I have a new 8924 from John Lewis and would be grateful if anyone would point me to the official download for firmware. The one that's on the router is ancient: version 24 from 2018! That's like an eternity ago.

I did notice that there is a version 24 for you on a Zyxel website that you could download and keep to return to in future.
Look here - https://www.zyxel.com/us/en/support/bcmupnp_hunter_botnet.shtml

I'm not sure if this is official Zyxel site, but it has version 28 for you...
https://support.zyxel.eu/hc/en-us/articles/4403361365778-Advanced-Downloads-for-CPE-devices

I haven't tried these download links... and I did find some download links for my modem that didn't work... so good luck!

There is another one from a Switzerland that sells Routers/Switches and Modems etc with FW 1.00(AAKL.28)C0 and Dated 11.01.2019 however im not sure if the FW is in English but the PDF's are in English.

from the ZIP file
Code: [Select]
[francis@archkde 1.00(AAKL.28)C0]$ ls -al

225979 Jan  3  2019 'VMG8924-B10A_V1.00(AAKL.28)C0-foss.pdf

Get it from
https://www.studerus.ch/de/support/downloadcenter or transfer.sh Mirror
