See the menu difference as well. Dont know it is happening. any help is really appreciate. thanks.

Are they both Zyxel or is one or the other a Eircom branded one? Do they both have the phone sockets on the back?

Hi, I have two ZyXel VMG8324-B10A devices, Both with same firmware but I noticed that one of the device have VoIP option. Why is it so? any idea?

I had the same problem and a hard reset should fix it

Hold the reset pin on the rear in for 30 seconds or so

Interesting where does this come from? I have not found it on any of the usual sites.

Am I the first to try the new 13C0 firmware?

Still the same xdsl driver A2pv6F039o1.d26a
Still only allows one telnet session.
So far I don't see any difference between this and the previous 12C0 FW.

Did couple of times but no luck. Flashed different firmware still same...

Are you certain you're doing a full "hard-reset"?

Most reset buttons allow for 2 reset states depending on how long they're held for (short hold power cycles the unit, long hold resets the unit to firmware defaults)
The hold time for the long reset can be quite lengthy on some modems... 30 seconds plus

Over on DD-WRT and OpenWRT forums, you'll often see mention of a hard-reset procedure called 30-30-30. This may be worth a try

Quote
Hard Reset (aka 30/30/30 reset):

The following procedure will clear out the NVRAM and set dd-wrt back to default values:

1. With the unit powered on, press and hold the reset button on back of unit for 30 seconds
2. Without releasing the reset button, unplug the unit and hold reset for another 30 seconds
3. Plug the unit back in STILL holding the reset button a final 30 seconds (please note that this step can put Asus devices into recovery mode...see note below!)

This procedure should be done BEFORE and AFTER every firmware upgrade/downgrade.

Do not use configuration restore if you change firmware builds (different svn build numbers).

Thank you so much 30/30/30 reset did the job. :)

Stuart

It seems to be a German network/hardware company, it's currently listed at the bottom of this page

Anyone else tried it yet?

I'm delighted with my 8924. After much research here I decided to replace my Homehub 5A with an 8924 I found on Amazon marketplace. The Homehub never synced at much above 50MBit on my Infinity 2 package even though I suspected the line should have been capable of more and I'm on a Huawei cabinet.

Got the 8924 installed and the attainable jumped to over 60Mbit, though was still syncing at around 54MBit, with high interleaving (pings around 30ms to uk servers). After a week the interleaving dropped and pings were around 25ms. Averaging around 100ES per day with no resyncs at all. Then today, after around 2 weeks installed, DLM was favourable and has activated G.INP. Now I'm syncing at over 60MBit and have pings of around 17ms! Also in the last 8 hours since the resync I've only had 2ES, so thats dropped dramatically!

Running the new firmware 13C0 and had run 12C0 since I installed it. Always getting a lot of FECs as previously reported but it doesn't seem to have any effect on link stability and I've never had a resync other than DLM changing the profile.

My Zyxel decided to completely reset itself today, no idea why, it had been on the v11 firmware and uptime was around 59 days. So I took the opportunity to upgrade to the v13 firmware, all went well and back up and running now.
