On my Infinity 2 connection I was getting about 7000 FEC per minute using this latest beta. This is pretty much the same as every version since 7. ES and CRC run OK for a few hours then I get a peak and the connection resets. I am seriously thinking of going back to my HH5 Type B permanently as it is the same chipset and presumably specifically tuned for UK connections.

Phil

See your point about FEC but it's the numerous connection drops that are the problem.

Hi

Connection drops are a problem of course.  Is your line interleaved?

I get connection drops after a FEC buildup, even though I'm on G.INP. Running 10C0.

Seems to take about 3 or 4 days, with an eventual re-sync and FEC goes down to near zero for a while.

Looks like I might flip and see if they really have fixed the DSL-AC68u firmware. Risky, but G.INP might keep it in check.

I get much more CRC errors win this router, tried 7C0, 8C10 and 10C0......compared with a TG582n by PlusNet.

These CRC errors casue a lot of connection drops. For TG582n I can see from the DSLStats that it can ignore a CRC burst and maintain a connection, but with this router it looks like with every burst the connection is resyncked....

Anyone got any idea if this unit is faulty or just too advanced for my line? thanks :)

Hi

I'm currently using this beta with no problems, been doing a lot of messing around in the Web UI and it hasn't crashed once, and the VDSL drivers are the same as version 10 so there shouldn't be any changes there.

I see V100AAKL11b2.bin is on the ZyXel Itialia site, ftp://ftp.zyxel.it/firmware/VMG8924/

Anyone tried it?
FYI
This link is no more.
It appears ftp://ftp.zyxel.it/firmware has been removed or made invisible to external access. ???

Here is dropbox link from google search
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/72648012/V100AAKL11b2.bin

It would be useful if someone could post a sha-1 or md5 on the original file to check this is OK.

TIA

Sorry for a slow reply but I must have missed your post.

I had much the same issue with this ZyXEL, it seemed to hate the odd SHINE events on my line. Normally with a HG612 these events just cause an error burst and one or two SES.  With the Zyxel the error burst was much more severe and resyncs often occurred. capping the Zyxel sync speed to less than the speed of the HG612 helped but the CRC from these events remained much bigger.  In between such events things were OK and I guess most people don't have such SHINE events and things are OK for them.

Bit of a strange one, I'm on 1.00(AAKL.5). The user account screen is missing from the maintenance tree. Is that a known bug or am I just being dense?
