If you wish, you could request that TalkTalk disable DLM on your line, so you can tweak without fear of being "punished".
If you're on fastpath, DLM is disabled, so nothing to worry about there.
One thing you may want to try is switching your router's ADSL mode/modulation to G.Dmt as on longer lines that can't support the higher frequency tones of ADSL2+, it may eek out a little extra speed. I see you're using ADSL2 (not +) though, so you might not see much difference in swapping, although it may be worth testing.
