Connection?

Hi all,I know this might sound stupid but on the task bar there is a twin monitor screen with a globe in front of it  to show you are on line.How come sometimes the globe disappears for a few seconds but you are still connected?

if your machine looses connection to the net for just 1 second then the globe wont reappear for upto a minute until vista is sure the connection is stable.

What modem are you using? and are you using it wirelessly or via a cable?
