Perhaps this is only expected to be used for FTTP distribution within a housing block ?
Otherwise has anybody considered the vast costs of re-doing a middle-mile fibre distribution** from the current fibre aggregation points through blocked and over-full ducts as well as the costs, residents' power consumption and support logistics, for a vastly increased micro-cabinet count.
All the FTTCs around Surrey only have either four or eight fibres terminated in a box without expansion capacity and usually with a very few empty tubes as well. That's why a full re-implementation from the fibre aggregation point is required.
Kind regards,
Walter
