Thanks for the response, I'm just glad it was sorted.
To be fair, it sounds like I was asking him to crawl under the house and stuff, but I wasn't. I'd opened up the floor and put the draw line through to make it easier for ME to get to if it got snagged.
As it panned out, I was the one who installed the cable while he 'went up the road to check the cab'. He left the cable and I done it while he was gone. I spotted the ladders for him and he also used my cutters and knife too - he'd lost some of his stuff.
If he wanted to go, I'd have quite happily let him. I'm just not one of those people who want a pile of boxes and flashing lights in the corner of my lounge
If I'd had asked him to do it all himself, then I'd fully expected him to tell me to PO. Rightfully so too.
