Does the above help? I'm not very good at expressing what I mean. I'm trying to say that there is a discrepancy in the way that the y-axis of the QLN graph is labelled when compared with all the other graphs.

I understand what you mean, and I'm certainly not being argumentative. I'm merely questioning what the actual values of QLN are: are they dBm (i.e. power levels) or dBm/Hz (i.e. power divided by frequency)? In all the other cases you mention, the actual values are what it says on the Y axis, but I'm uncertain about the QLN values.

can I ask...why do you have it so it is it written away from the install folder?

Because it was suggested to me that this made upgrades more simple - users can just delete all the files in the install folder and replace them with the new set, without losing their settings and historical data.

If you prefer the files kept in the installation folder, you can choose this option in the Misc configuration page.

makes sense....as thats what ive been doing, at least im aware of it now, cheers :)

As far as I am aware, a QLN graph is a plot of dBm (y-axis) versus Hz (x-axis) and not dBm/Hz (y-axis) versus Hz (x-axis).  :-\

I wonder if our analytical Eagle will be able to assist, please?

TBH, I don't know which is correct.

You can see the axis naming as used for my graphs, but maybe it is incorrect when compared against the graphs from a JDSU manual.

Thanks for the information BE. I think for the moment I'll leave my graphs as they are (which happens to be the same as the JDSU manual) and do some more research.

something to point out, if anyone changes the install folder name (like I did) and doesn't notice that when it asks if you want to download the new version that it still points the download to the old directory, of course you can change before downloading but if you dont it doesnt even create that directory....if the directory doesn't exist then it doesn't download the file... :)

just pointing that out :)

Yes, I'll try to deal with that situation gracefully.

The new SNRM per Band graph is useful, thank you. Unfortunately it doesn't detect the D3 band and the box is greyed out.

Band Plan data from DSLstats:

xdslctl info --pbParams
xdslctl: ADSL driver and PHY status

Yes, the way in which I detected which bands are in use was flawed. As far as I can tell, I've corrected this now, and I'm testing it with lots of different pbParams data. I've just checked it with yours, and the bands and data are detected correctly.
