Yeah, pbParams is correct when I display it via telnet.

The occurrence is only in your program (this update).

Restarted the program and it has resolved itself, so a potential bug somewhere. I didn't change any settings so weird!

The Downstream legend is broke, the upstream legend works correctly. (Doesn't display the bands D1 & D2, the box is just empty)

Also one small request can you add the Min/Max for each band like on the normal SNR Margin page, thanks if you could!

Thanks, I now have an idea where the problem lies.

Min/Max values should be straightforward to add.

May I suggest a critical examination of the y-axis legend for the QLN graph, please?

Currently it reads:  QLN (dBm/Hz)

My proposal is to modify it to read: QLN (dBm)

The /Hz is inconsistent when one examines the labelling of the y-axes of the other graphs . . .  :-X

Hmm... Every reference I found in a quick search just now gave the units as dBm/Hz. Do you know of a definitive reference?

how about taking settings from an INI file instead of storing in the registry? because you have no uninstall process then its impossible (for most) to remove settings stuck in the registry, where as INI files once deleted will send the program back to defaults ... because i deleted everything but it remembered my settings when i put it back on

DSLstats doesn't write anything to the Windows registry, all its configuration settings are stored in the file dslstats.ini. I suspect that, when you deleted everything, there was actually another copy of dslstats.ini on your system. By default, DSLstats now stores its configuration files in the 'official' location as advised by the operating system, not alongside the executable as it did previously. The first line of the event log shows you where the configuration files are saved.

Because it was suggested to me that this made upgrades more simple - users can just delete all the files in the install folder and replace them with the new set, without losing their settings and historical data.

If you prefer the files kept in the installation folder, you can choose this option in the Misc configuration page.

Just a bug report, for ES it's showing today's date the 4th but getting the information from yesterday.

Added a screenshot, the SNRM is back to being bugged along with pbParams.

That's an odd one. You might try changing the 'days ago' value underneath the graph to see if it corrects itself. I'll try to find how this might occur.

It doesn't show any data for x amount of days ago except 8, I checked from 1 to 9.

Edit: Found the problem for pbParams.

When I don't maximize the program to 2560x1440 the results for pbParams are displayed as follow.

Code: [Select]
xdslcmd info --pbParams
xdslcmd: ADSL driver and PHY status
Status: Showtime
Retrain Reason: 0
Last initialization procedure status: 0
Max: Upstream rate = 5285 Kbps, Downstream rate = 27636 Kbps
Bearer: 0, Upstream rate = 5308 Kbps, Downstream rate = 28160 Kbps

Discovery Phase (Initial) Band Plan
US: (6,31) (882,1193) (1984,2770)
DS: (33,857) (1218,1959) (2795,4083)
Medley Phase (Final) Band Plan
US: (6,31) (882,1193)
DS: (41,857) (1218,1846)
  VDSL Port Details   Upstream   Downstream
Attainable Net Data Rate:      5285 kbps     27636 kbps
Actual Aggregate Tx Power:        7.4 dBm      12.4 dBm
====================================================================================
  VDSL Band Status U0 U1 U2 U3
  Line Attenuation(dB): 2 3
Signal Attenuation(dB): 6.1 51.4 63.4 N/A N/A 22.6 64.0 N/A
        SNR Margin(dB): 6.1 51.2 N/A N/A N/A 29.1 63.8 N/A
         TX Power(dBm): 5.5 6.0 N/A N/A N/A 6.0 6.0 N/A
TX Power(dBm): 1.9 6.0   N/A   N/A   N/A 11.3 6.1   N/A
#

This not detecting the Downstream bands therefore not being able to plot in SNRM per bands.

Though If I maximize DSLStats to 2560x1440 it displays pbParams correctly as followed.

Code: [Select]
xdslcmd info --pbParams
xdslcmd: ADSL driver and PHY status
Status: Showtime
Retrain Reason: 0
Last initialization procedure status: 0
Max: Upstream rate = 5282 Kbps, Downstream rate = 27632 Kbps
Bearer: 0, Upstream rate = 5308 Kbps, Downstream rate = 28160 Kbps

        SNR Margin(dB): 5.7 6.0 N/A N/A N/A 6.0 6.1 N/A

If you look at the top stats (minimized) you can see the SNR Margin of U1 should actually be the Signal Attenuation of U1 if you look at the bottom stats (maximized). So it's shifting them along, hope this helps to find the problem in the code!

Just noticed this as well

Code: [Select]
Signal attenuation (dB) U0 U1 U2 U3
04 Dec 2013 13:38:34 6.1 51.4 63.4 N/A N/A 22.6 64.0 N/A
04 Dec 2013 13:41:30 6.1 51.2 N/A N/A N/A 29.1 63.8 N/A
04 Dec 2013 13:42:00 6.1 51.4 63.4 N/A N/A 22.6 64.0 N/A
04 Dec 2013 13:42:14 6.1 51.2 N/A N/A N/A 29.1 63.8 N/A
04 Dec 2013 13:43:15 6.1 51.4 63.4 N/A N/A 22.6 64.0 N/A
04 Dec 2013 13:43:29 6.1 51.2 N/A N/A N/A 29.1 63.8 N/A
04 Dec 2013 13:44:44 6.1 51.4 63.4 N/A N/A 22.6 64.0 N/A
04 Dec 2013 13:45:00 6.1 51.2 N/A N/A N/A 29.1 63.8 N/A

From the attenuation long, you can see it doesn't display any band names from U4 on-wards!

Edit: Clarification; by minimized I mean in size and not minimized to the task bar or system tray.

Hmm... Every reference I found in a quick search just now gave the units as dBm/Hz. Do you know of a definitive reference?

The QLN graph, as an entity, shows dBm/Hz. The y-axis is units of dBm. The x-axis is units of Hz (or tones).
The Hlog graph, as an entity, shows dB/Hz. The y-axis is units of dB. The x-axis is units of Hz (or tones).
The SNRM graph, as an entity, shows dB/seconds. The y-axis is units of dB. The x-axis is units of seconds (or time).
The Speed graph, as an entity, shows kbps/seconds. The y-axis is units of kbps. The x-axis is units of seconds (or time).
The FEC graph, as an entity, shows FEC per minute/seconds. The y-axis is units of FEC per minute. The x-axis is units of seconds (or time).

Does the above help? I'm not very good at expressing what I mean. I'm trying to say that there is a discrepancy in the way that the y-axis of the QLN graph is labelled when compared with all the other graphs.
