DSLstats v4.11 released
« on: October 31, 2013, 01:40:38 PM »

Just a few small fixes and tidying-up.

Changes since v4.1:

- made some changes to the arrangement of tabs and other items to reduce clutter
- VDSL2 band plan determination should now work correctly with all band plans
- when using HG612-Modem-Stats co-operation, only up to 5 samples will be aborted when
  conflicts are detected
- for routers requiring a second stage of login, added a small delay before the second stage command
- the HLog graph no longer blanks illegal values, but plots all values reported by the router
- added an option to temporarily switch the QLN graph to display the full tone range on VDSL2

I have access to Broadcom CLI only as on following screenshot:

I'd like to exploit this hole to DSLStats. What could I do?

You've asked me this before, and I'm sorry that it's not possible without a major redesign of DSLstats.

I think it's possible to write pseud-telnet server on 127.0.0.1 which would be communicating with router at the above way.
PS. Please unlock this thread:

I've asked somewhat other question and I also gave my answer. Earlier I didn't know my bit-loading is the same therefore it's other question.

GO AWAY!!!!!

This thread isn't a 'post my problems' thread, it's a thread to announce a new version of DSLStats.

Roseway works damn hard on this program and all you do is bug him. Stop it!

Once again, I encourage you to please stop repeating yourself.

@konrado5

With a bit luck you can start a telnet server. Instead of adsl info, use this command:telnetd -p 2323 -l /bin/sh
Try if you can connect to port 2323. If this is possible DSLstats should work.

- VDSL2 band plan determination should now work correctly with all band plans
It works. Thank you.

No doubt of little or no consequence, but I've noticed that some files within 4.11 are older than those in 4.1. That seems a little peculiar to my simple mind. :baby:

I've tried it. It doesn't work. I think DSLstats should be modified to exploit above described hole.

Hello kind of new to DSLstats and have been using V4.1 to watch my evening SNR's and Errors in realtime, my question is can you update to 4.11 and keep the current graphing going as i did try but have to start recording all over again, the errors seconds graphs are very good and held in a file to look back on previous days

There is only one version of each of those files anyway, so the date is of no significance. I'm not sure now exactly where I copied them from.

Roseway is not going to spend a huge amount of time in order to change DSLStats slightly to benefit you (and potentially break other things). It works just fine as it is!

Again, stop asking this question.

Edit: To be honest konrado, that response is edging on being slightly aggressive! It's certainly very ordering. We are users, just like yourself. We are not technical support for you! I think roseway deserves an apology based on what you've just said, but since you'll probably ignore this, I'll apologise on your behalf: 'Sorry Roseway'.

As Kitz has mentioned, this is your final warning, so if I was you, I would take a good hard look at what you are doing and perhaps change it?

Way things are turning. I feel I am in the dog house for my curiosity and question. :-[ :-\
