Business Development Executive Origin Broadband - Doncaster
Telephone and field-based role. You will be contacting businesses to offer services from our new Data Centre based in Sheffield - in addition to our existing and future business portfolio, with a strong focus on leased lines. We’re looking for a confident and experienced candidate to continue our success in selling to local businesses and national organisations. You will possess the ability to build relationships quickly and consistently – and make those relationships profitable both to you and the business.
Origin also acts as a wholesale provider of services to other businesses who also wish to act as an ISP. The successful candidates will need to identify businesses that would like such an opportunity and be able to take the necessary steps to contact these businesses, identify the decision maker and hold the necessary meetings etc. to get them on board as a reseller.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- A proven track record in business development/account management
- Confident in speaking to a wide variety of people over the telephone with a good phone manner
- An engaging personality with the ability to build rapport quickly with business professionals
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to work to targets / target driven
- The ability to develop within the role, take on board coaching and work to set standards
- Ability to respond positively to difficult customer situations
- Able to work effectively with your sales support and other colleagues to win business
The successful applicant will hold a degree and have a minimum of 3 years experience successfully selling relevant products to businesses.
HOURS:
37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday between 9am and 5.30pm. This may be subject to change in line with business needs and you must be available to support your customer outside of these hours.
SALARY: £17,000 BASIC with £33,488 on target earnings - including uncapped commission + fuel and other expenses. A company car will be provided after 9 months of service. You will be progressed to a £22,000 basic salary with an OTE of £38,488 after passing probation and having achieved target for 12 consecutive months.
Pay progression will be further reviewed every 12 months.

Your office will be in Doncaster - but you may need to work with clients based nationwide.
