DSLstats on FreeBSD?
« on: October 15, 2013, 07:23:56 AM »

Hi to all.

I am curious, I have a pfSense box which runs FreeBSD 8.3. I was wondering if there was any easy way to get DSLstats running on FreeBSB? It would make an even better tool if it could run on a firewall/router box 24/7.

In principle the answer is yes, but I have no means of building and testing a FreeBSD version. The development system I use (Lazarus) can be installed on FreeBSD and PC-BSD, and I'm guessing that the code would build on FreeBSD using the Linux build parameters; it certainly wouldn't need much modification.

I'd be quite interested in giving this a go, but I'd have difficulty finding the time at present. The source code is readily available for anyone who wants to have a go themselves.
