Really irrelevant for me but thanks for the Information.

What you are reporting could be a significant change to the way FTTC has operated since day one.

It may only be relevant to your connection or ISP, but it might be useful information for us if you could share details of your current sync speed & IP Profile with us to whom it may possibly be relevant.

I may have to inform reps from my ISP of the changes as they are still quoting the 96.79% to users from time to time.

If I have mentioned 20239 elsewhere it was a mistake. Please tell me where you have seen it & I'll amend it.


My connection has remained in sync at 20256 since the firmware update with an IP Profile of 19.61.

  What I was doing is to reverse the process of the 96.79 % of Sync to IP profile
and add 3.21% to your IP profile of 19.61 (19610 kbps) to get your sync speed but the calculator gives me sync of 20239 kbps 

theres one last process once you have your IP profile say like BE1 19.61 (19610 kbps) now thats still not your download throughput speed as there is an other percentage off that to and it is variable 94% to 96% and then you get true throughput speed.

Try multiplying IP Profile by 1.033


38.72 x 1.033 = 39.99776 (near as damn it 40 Mbps).

77.44 x 1.033 = 79.99552 (near as damn it 80 Mbps).

My own IP Profile of 19.61 x 1.033 = 20.25713 (my sync speed is actually 20256Kbps or 20.256 Mbps).

Thanks that works, I know it strange but if someone gives you there IP profile at least we can work out there Modem sync speed if they don't have a unlocked FTTC modem, very handy
