Hi Eric :)

I havent checked the stats..

but i let it sleep again, this time when it woke it was instantly recording upstream activity again... this might be coincidence, i will monitor :)

EDIT: is there anyway to make it auto-restart after waking from sleep? Iam on windows 7 pro x64 and when i wake i have to click PLAY again, cheers

EDIT2: I did notice this in SNRM graph for upload and it does show some slightly more erratic activity at those times :) this would co-incide with the differences I have been seeing after waking :)

At the moment I don't know why it needs restarting. There's no deliberate mechanism which stops it recording when the PC goes to sleep, and I really have no idea what Windows does to running applications when it sleeps. I'll do a bit of research, but at the moment this is outside my limited competence.

Thanks for reporting that.

does it not have this behaviour in your Linux?

oh and also, is it possible to execute debug before login with these new features?

ive missed not being able to use it hehe, see many new feature since I last used it. Ive been testing the new Sky Hub v2, which, (Iam now allowed to say) that its just exactly the same as the last hub but comes in BLACK and has VDSL modem built in :)

It didn't some time ago when I tested that. I don't use sleep normally, but I'll try it out again tomorrow.

Yes, that may well be possible. For Netgear routers which use the hidden web page to enable debug it should be straightforward, but the ones which require a special utility program to be run will be more problematical.

I'll be interested to hear if that does the job.

Concerning the debug issue, there's no way you can do it at present. It needs some extra code to access the web page, and it only needs to do it once per session (unless the router is rebooted).

I have found (and fixed) a malfunction in the way DSLstats deals with sleep or hibernation. After the PC wakes up, the program plays all the missing samples in quick succession until it catches up with the present time. I'm not sure why recording pauses in the Windows version, but this may actually avert the bad behaviour described above.

In the next version this is corrected.

how do you mean it PLAYS all the samples?

well the wake after 2 mins thing works, just woke the PC and left it and it started :)

I just meant that it repeatedly samples the router with no gaps between the samples, as if they were all stacked up during the sleep period.

Thanks for letting me know. I still don't know why it pauses when the PC sleeps, but at least this is a workaround. The pause doesn't happen with the Linux versions.

I still cant get over how great this program is :) as soon as I get some money I will donate!! (unemployment stinks! :()

ive got an idea/tip...its nothing major...but... on the STATS page I think the INP would be better place under Interleaved rather than RsUnCorr (%)

like I say nothing major :)

You're very kind, but I really wouldn't want anyone to send me donations. :)

Your suggestion for the stats page sounds sensible to me. I'll make that change in the next release.

Do you think you can add support to save pbParams and stats? Like you do with snapshots but instead saves each individual to their own notepad file? Much appreciated if you can!

Yes, certainly. I'll add options to autosave any of the text items in the same way as the graphs.

Wow, Roseway, this program really has come a long way since I last checked!

Keep up the excellent work!
