Greetings card
« on: May 10, 2013, 08:19:14 PM »

We were looking for greetings cards today and I noticed one which said

Dogs have owners but Cats have Staff

and having had both as pets I can honestly say I've never seen a truer word written about them....

Very true.

The order of significance is feline > human > canine;)

The dog looks up to a man, the cat looks down on him, but the pig is his equal!

So true...

My cats have trained me to act as waiter.  They eat breakfast before I do... and I am trained to act as doorman when ever one of them scratches at the door.   They sit where they want, and I often find myself in the smallest of spots because one of them is stretched out taking up more room than me.

I often type at awkward angles because one of them is on my knee or arm or on the keyboard and I peer round them to see the screen.

-------
However cats make wonderful companions, they are extremely handsome/beautiful.
They are graceful, skilled  and have superior intelligence over dogs so they deserve to be waited on hand and paw.

PS.. my cats made me type that ^

I have a small embroidered cushion which reads

"If you want the best seat in the house move the cat"   ;D

Love it  :D

I have a terracotta one which says a very fine cat indeed lives here, which someone bought me years ago.

I can't link ATM, (damn ipad already lost a post I was making about yahoo mail)... But I like the one that says "a very fine cat (and its staff) live here".   :)

Cats have the qualities of superiority you all acknowledge, but is it not somewhat self centred on their part? One feeds them, but they come and go as they wish so long as food, milk and bed is available and to their tastes.

OTOH dogs show a spirit of servant hood and are being found trainable to help disabled folk in many ways.

How many cats assist a blind person in the street, or assist around the home, as some dogs do once trained?

Having rained on the pussies' parade, I'll depart in haste. They're lovely though! :)
