I do find strong perfumes very unpleasant (I hope I'm not offending anyone here!). More than once I've had to get out of a lift at the first opportunity after someone wearing a particularly pungent example has got in the lift with me. And I can't bear to spend any time in the perfume sections of department stores for the same reason. No doubt it's just one of my many peculiarities.
