thanks for this, it seems I have a hg modem on a ECI dslam.

Code: [Select]
# xdslcmd info --vendor
xdslcmd: ADSL driver and PHY status
Status: Showtime
Retrain Reason: 1
Max:    Upstream rate = 23915 Kbps, Downstream rate = 72696 Kbps
Path:   0, Upstream rate = 20000 Kbps, Downstream rate = 71292 Kbps

ChipSet Vendor Id:      IFTN:0xb203
ChipSet VersionNumber:  0xb203
ChipSet SerialNumber:   5501843597

It seems like you have lost some more sync speed since your post in your other thread, where it was 71765 Kbps.
Retrain Reason is 1 again.

Do you know what cause this latest resync?

The weather was horrendous in many parts of the country yesterday/last night with flooding & gale force winds - coincidence?

by the way if JOSH still wants a matching device to ECI dslam the fritz 3370 uses the same chipset as the ECI dslams and I can confirm the error rates are hugely lower with that router/modem.  When I had it plugged in I was switched back to fast path from interleaving in 3 full days.
