Christmas decorations

Why is it that regardless how carefully you label the boxes when you pack them away there's always one box where the contents are nothing like the label?

I've just spent two hours searching for the adaptor which powers the window lights. Where did I find it? In the kitchen in a drawer full of dishcloths! Who knows why its there? Well actually someone knows but it isn't me!

I think the phrase "bloody women" accompanied by a lot of muttering is quite justified under the circumstances :)

heh I think more likely that the adaptor got forgotten about when the decos were packed away last xmas.

Then about a week later someone finds the adaptor and thinks "Oh I know - I'll put this in a safe  place somewhere until the next time someone goes up to the loft".
... and then it gets totally forgotten about.

Yeah.. I could imagine me doing that

Yes I'm sure, but putting a power adaptor in a drawer (at the back) which only holds dishcloths?

Hands up anyone male who'd do that?

I'd have thought a drawer full of dishcloths would be the safest place on earth - if you didn't want a man to find something  :P

I have a very simple system for this - I can admit to owning not a single festive decoration.

I've been on my own for many years and often spend christmas alone, so it's not an especially exciting time for me.
