Good evening from an IPStream ISP employee
« on: March 14, 2013, 07:36:00 PM »

Good evening guys,

I work for a relatively large BT reselling ISP, and hope to provide input into specific faults (mainly dealing with ADSL).

In my current role I specialise in REIN and SHINE issues - I work to resolve these with customers rather than involving BT if possible.

Hope to be of help, take care. :)

Hi mattyprice4004 & welcome to the Kitz forum.

Rein & SHINE issues seem to be very much black arts as far as most of us are concerned, so you specialist input may end up being very useful for a number of us.

Dare you mention the name of the ISP you work for?

Cheers guys.

I'll happily disclose the ISP, however could a Mod change my name to Toblerone please?

Just to hide the obviousness of my name... :)

This has been done,  but the forum must also reset your password.  An automated email has been sent confirming the new username and advising the new password.  You can then change the password to one of your choice, via the user profile panel.

Cheers kitz.

I find it quite odd more ISPs don't really do any kind of REIN troubleshooting - it's pretty basic stuff and most end users have an AM radio they can use. Tonight I had someone wandering around his house listening to the beautiful noise of what turned out to be his beloved 47" Plasma destroying his DSL signal.

Cheers kitz.

I work for Supanet, and I'll be more than happy to help with any related issues. I know we don't currently have any kind of social media / public reps. :)

Ha ha ..... this could be interesting. Welcome, Toblerone.  :)

Yes indeed!  ;D  Between you and TobyPTO, our communal arsenal in the relentless (it seems) fight against REIN, PEIN, and SHINE has just been increased exponentially!  ;)  Welcome!!
