Damn Spam
« on: January 03, 2013, 11:58:06 AM »

Happy New Year everyone, my first problem of the the year.

A friend whom I'm in constant touch with has many of his emails to me going into the spam folder on BTYahoo mail, which is doublely annoying as Bt Yahoo takes ages to load having so many ads on it.

I repeatedly select 'Not Spam' for him but a lot of his emails still get marked as spam.
Is there anything else I can do to stop this please?

Regards,

Peter

As well as marking 'not spam'.  Is there a safe list?

I dont know about BTYahoo mail, but another way of adding certain emails (in other webmail clients such as hotmail) to be classed as permanently genuine is to add the sender to your address book.   I know it can be a PITA having addresses such as web@mysupermarket in your address book, but it should stop future mails going into the spam folder.

Hi Kitz, he is in my address book too, not sure if it helps but his ISP is talktalk.
Occasionally other stuff gets marked as spam but is ok after I've marked it not spam.
