WinXp SP3 up to date is the OS.
Occasionally when I insert a CD or DVD into the drive, my laptop goes through the checking procedure etc then it BSoDs. So it seems to be either on the graphics side or the CD/DVD drive but both are up to date.
This doesn't happen every time though. I have tested it by having no other applications loaded/running, just Windows and it still happens. I have relatively new RAM which was not fitted because of the BSoD but I know RAM faults tend to cause them.
The stop code I see is this :
0X0000008E (0X0000005; 0X806F0134; 0XA9F6F40C; 0X00000000)
Any suggestions please ?
