« on: October 15, 2012, 11:54:40 PM »

xdslcmd qlnmntr [--time
] [--freq <msec>]

anyone know what this does?

its in the HG612 busybox, seems to be something to do with monitoring Quiet Line Noise

anyone played with it?

thanks

Nope, never experimented with it.

Perhaps you could give it a go & educate us all as to what it does  ;)

I might - its obviously a duration (120 mins) and how often to check (60000ms) - but how to display the result?

I think it might be worthwhile showing the entire xdslcmd command set that is available on the Huawei HG612. So here it is --

I wonder if one needs to have some other utility executing, to interact with the Broadcom device when the xdslcmd qlnmntr [--time
] [--freq <msec>] command line is invoked?

Didn't AR find a Broadcom diagnostic package some months ago? Didn't asbokid have a play with it? Perhaps someone with a better memory than the grumpy old black cat could "join the dots", please?  ???

aye thats right.... i remember now, i dont know how far he got with it but I dont think there was any result, it must tell you the highest/lowest/average noise amount over each tone - one could adapt BE's scripts to do that I suppose
