2Wire 2700 Hgv
« on: September 05, 2012, 04:59:12 PM »

Hi guys, first post so be gentle.

I managed to acquire a 2700 with 5.29.107.19 firmware, I believe from reading I really don't want this to upgrade but I am keen to use this modem on my BT business broadband ADSL2+ line, mainly for the diagnostics and info, trying to increase my profile speed.

Any advice on how to stop it being auto upgraded?

thanks
John

Hello John. Welcome to the Kitz forum.  :)

I had to stop and think.  ???  Then check my notes.  ::)

As both software versions 5.29.107.12 and 5.29.109.5 are immune from the malevolent machinations of the Evil Empire of Newgate Street, then your 2Wire 2700HGV with version 5.29.107.19 firmware can also be used without fear of molestation.  ;D

You're welcome.

Now just in case you are unaware of it and may be able to assist, I'll mention that Asbokid has been working on unlocking the mysteries of the 2Wire 270nXXX devices.
